Uninstalling USB Drivers

Uninstalling USB Drivers
This is a method to troubleshoot the issue of a computer not recognizing the Phoenix Audio USB device. The issue is usually a pre-existing installation of a similar driver for an USB.

Solution 1: Unplug the USB and plug into a different USB slot.
If that does not resolve the problem, re-install the USB drivers. In order to reinstall the drivers please follow the instructions below.

Solution 2: Re-installation of USB drivers.

Step 1: Click on the “Windows” symbol in the bottom left corner of the screen and select “Control Panel”.

Step 2: Once you’re in the Control Panel click on “Device Manager”.

Step 3: Once the Device Manger window opens click on “Universal Serial Bus Controllers” to expand its options. Then do the following:
1. Right click on any drivers named “USB Composite Device” and “Unknown device”, select “uninstall”.
2. After those drivers have been uninstalled, restart the computer and unplug the device. Once the computer has restarted plug the Phoenix Audio Device back to the computer and it should reinstall the drivers automatically.
3. If this fails, test the device on a second computer. If the issue is replicated on the second computer we now know that the Device needs to be sent to Phoenix Audio Technologies for repairs.
