NueQ utilizes Phoenix Audio solutions to help its Quick Serve Restaurant (QSR) clients provide a hassle-free experience to their drive-thru customers.

 

The Challenge

The drive-thru experience is a critical part of a QSR’s business. A common problem is an employee having to ask the customer to repeat an order.  NueQ needed to find an AEC (automatic echo cancellation) solution to help cancel out noises and echo coming in from the drive-thrus, thereby improving order accuracy and better satisfying customers.

The Setup

NueQ’s project was a new feature-rich wireless drive-thru communications system with a low cost of ownership and easily replaceable off-the-shelf parts.  It was looking for a way to enable echo-free two-way audio communications in this new system. In order for the system to reach its full potential, high audio quality is key.  Without echo cancellation and noise suppression technology integrated into the product, it would be unable to yield the desired results.

The Fix

NueQ embedded a Phoenix Audio daughter board (MT103) into its device.  Phoenix worked with NueQ to create a custom solution that tailored to the project’s needs.  With this solution, NueQ was able to minimize its engineering cost, and provide exceptional audio quality. Feedback from our customers has been nothing, but positive; the sound is what their customers love about their product.

The Value

The Phoenix Audio solution was a critical customer and business requirement for the project. Without the AEC, the product would not have launched at all. After having found this audio solution, echo and noise is no longer an issue, and restaurants can regain focus on what’s really important and what they do best –  satisfying their customers’ hunger.
