Telephony

While all of Phoenix Audio Technologies’ products support a USB interface, we also offer a variety of products geared towards interfacing with telephone systems and products. Our telephony products are divided into four categories: IP Phone, Analog, Smart Phones/Tablets, and Digital Telephone Interface (DTI).

Our telephony product lines are designed to provide our end-users with high quality audio when using any kind of telephone communication. Since all of our products have a USB interface standardized in them, our telephone units have built-it bridging capabilities. This means that you can not only use your device both as a telephone solution and a USB solution, but you can actually use both solutions at the same time and bridge between interfaces. You can initiate a video conferencing or skype call via the USB and dial a telephone call and have both parties talk to you as well as each other through your Phoenix Audio speakerphone.

Our telephony products bring to your telephone system a list of rich features such as daisy chaining, ceiling mounting, and easy plug-and-play installation as well as our advanced noise suppression, echo cancelation, de-reverb, beamforming, and AGC.

IP or Analog
The SIP and PSTN devices are recommended for use when you know you have either an analog phone system or a SIP phone service provider. In this case, our devices connect directly to the phone jack (or Ethernet jack) and offer a full set of phone functionalities such as dialing, taking calls, phonebooks and call logs, speed dials, conferencing, and more. DTI
Our DTI products connect to an actual phone using its headset jack. This allows us to “piggyback” off of a phone and to provide the audio part of the communication. This is the case regardless of the technology type, even if it’s proprietary (when using digital phone systems). In general, when in doubt if you are choosing the right type of interface, use a DTI device. In this setup all the phone functions will be handled by your actual phone, while our device will handle the audio, muting, and volumes. Smart Phone/Tablet
Our Smart Phone and Tablet devices use a similar concept as the DTI, where we connect to the smart device via the headphone jack. Our product is recognized by the smart device as a headphone/microphone and takes over the device’s audio (both mic and speaker).
