Duet Trouble Shooting

Duet PCS

Note: Best working placement of the Duet is facing the mesh of the Duet towards you and USB connectivity facing away.

No software or driver download is necessary for Duet to work.  In normal circumstances, your PC will auto-detect the Duet and make it your systems default microphone & speaker.

Once plugged in, verify that the center button on Duet is lit steady blue (If flashing, the unit is muted).

If center (microphone) button on Duet does not light, try a different USB port on same computer.  If center button still does not work, try a different computer all together.  And if it still does not light, contact Phoenix Audio Technical support.

If unit is still not working, verify in your system control panel & sound settings, that your Phoenix microphone & speaker is checked as the default in both cases.

If everything above is done and unit is still not working, please contact Phoenix Audio technical support.

Duet Executive

Note: Best working placement of the Duet is facing the mesh of the Duet towards you and USB connectivity facing away.

For USB operation, please reference same troubleshooting steps as Duet PCS.

DTI (Digital telephone interface) Please try grey cable first between the RJ jack of the Duet Executive and RJ (headset) jack of your desktop phone.  If this cable doesn’t work, please try the black one instead.

If you are having trouble hearing your far end, adjust the Duet Executive volume up (button to the right of the center button when USB port is facing away from you).

If your far end is having trouble hearing you, adjust the dip switches on the back of the unit (The different dip switch settings and their effects are explained in greater detail on page 4 of your user manual).

If additional support is needed from this point, please contact Phoenix Technical Support.
