Tech Support

Welcome to the Phoenix Audio Support page. This page was designed and written to assist our clients with problems that may arise while using our products.

Helpful Tips:

In our experience, most of the time problems with Phoenix’s audio devices have to do with inadequate audio input and output levels. As part of our goal to produce high quality products that are also easy and hassle free to use, we created a handy audio setup utility that automatically finds the optimum levels for your device and insures your product works properly. We highly recommend that you download and install this free software and take advantage of its great and effortless features.

If you already installed the setup utility and think your product might be faulty, you can download our testing utility. This utility lets you hear exactly what your device is picking up regardless of other applications like Skype. This procedure informs you whether the problem’s source is with your device or with the application that is using it.

Finally, we strongly urge our customers to take advantage of our Troubleshooting and FAQ pages that contain important and helpful information about all of our products.

At the bottom of this page under “DOWNLOADS” you will be able to find all of our applications and utilities which will be updated constantly. We recommend that you check back frequently and download any updates that are available.

The Phoenix Audio Setup Utility is designed to help you control the audio levels coming in and going out of your Phoenix products. This utility will identify the Phoenix device you are using and indicate whether it’s connected (or not connected). It will mute the microphone in the payback mode for all old versions of the Duet and Solo units (this feature is not required in newer versions of the Duet and in the Quattro) and will also set the audio levels to a comfortable default value. Once you modify the levels the unit will save and restore your preferred levels anytime you connect a unit or open the audio utility. Finally, the utility will allow you to control the level of signal going to and coming back from your telephone (in the Quattro and newer versions of the Duet Executive) and will allow you to control the level and balance of the bridge (the connection between your telephone counterpart and VoIP counterpart in the Quattro/Duet Executive).
